What is

  ?

The #IamRemarkable Challenge is based off of Google’s initiative striving to empower women and underrepresented groups to speak openly about their accomplishments in the workplace and beyond, thereby breaking modesty norms and glass ceilings.

My 7 day challenge is designed to get you more comfortable flexing your self-promotion muscles.

How it works:

STEP 1: Sign up for the challenge.

This is a 7 day challenge. So every day you’ll get an email letting you know the training for the day has been unlocked.

STEP 2: Head to your inbox each day for a new training.

You’ll want to set aside 15-30 minutes to listen to the training video.

STEP 3: Complete the day's reflection worksheet.

You can make the most of this Challenge by completing the worksheet that goes along with the training lesson for the day.

What we’ll cover:

This Challenge includes 7 days of video training, complete with follow-along worksheets.

We’ll be covering:

Day 1: Learning to say “I am Remarkable” may be one of the hardest challenges of your life. If you experience throat-tightening (or eye rolling) just thinking about muttering them, you’re in the right place. This discomfort with self-promotion is holding you back. Let’s explore why this is so hard and what you can do to lessen the fear.

Day 2: How you’re using self-deprecating humor to protect yourself. While having a laugh at yourself can be a really great tool in the moment, doing it over and over again can lead to eroded self-confidence – and losing confidence with others (like clients, co-workers, and your supervisor). Struggle no more, we’ll cover how you can kick this defense mechanism and accepting those compliments!

Day 3: The spotlight effect and why it’s getting in your way. In the back of our minds, we all secretly think that if we work hard enough, we’ll get noticed, because everyone is thinking about us all the time, right? Sarcasm aside, we have to give people a reason to think of us. Avoid one of the fatal mistakes that women everywhere make – waiting for your time in the spotlight.

Day 4: Self-promotion is a life-changing skill, and we’re going to show you ways to do it without feeling braggadocious, self-promotey, salesy, and annoying. We’ll outline how to be your best inner and outer PR person and manage your perception.

Day 5: Three baby steps to visibility that won’t have you running away. We want you to experience what it can feel like to share an idea, a curiosity about a subject, or dare we say it… a success! This can be your path out of “but no one will care” and to “wow, people are cheering me on!”

Day 6: Enrolling support and the role of amplification buddies. We’ll talk about the vital role these people play, how to enlist them and how you can return the favor.

Day 7: The art of the follow-through – wanna know the difference between people who get noticed and those that don’t? They have a strategy for how they’re going to do it. They know who they want to get in front of and what they want to use that time for. We’ll help you design a realistic, repeatable system that will get people paying attention to what you have to say.

Hey Friend!

Thanks for checking out the details on our new challenge – the 7 day #iamremarkable Challenge. I’m so excited about this because this is the exact thing I wish I saw about 5 years ago…

When I was starting my coaching business, I was too nervous to talk about it…

So much that I basically had a secret business. A few friends new I had started coaching, but I wasn’t very public about it.

And I had a lot riding on it and on myself. I needed to replace the income from my full-time job (and at that time was around $65K) with this brand new idea.  I was hopeful that my “secret” business would somehow get out to people and I’d be booking exploratory calls left and right. All without me having to talk about it.

I’ve come to learn that this feeling of not wanting to annoy people is something nearly all of us struggle with.

And it prevents us from having the impact that we truly could have, if only people knew what we were up to. Not wanting to look stupid or come off as “better than” comes up in 99% of my coaching sessions and with nearly all my resume clients. It’s one of the main reasons people hire me to write their resumes! They don’t want to toot their own horns.

Here’s the thing: self-promotion is a learnable skill. You can learn how to do it in a way that feels authentic to you and stretches you. Because let’s be honest, without that stretch part – you’re staying in your comfort zone. My gut tells me that zone is where you get to hide.

And when you hide, you can’t have the amazing impact you want to have.

That’s what I’ve learned over the last 5 years – working on my business and coaching people through their self-promotion fears. You are remarkable. It’s time to own it! If amplifying your presence at work and getting recognition in your career or business is important to you, come spend a few minutes a day with us this week…

It’s completely complimentary, and we are even including worksheets to enhance your learning experience.

Just click the button below to RSVP for the Challenge, and we’ll see you in the training.

You got this!
